What the Build Planner does

The Build Planner lets you assemble virtual equipment loadouts for Tasia without switching gear in-game. Select items for all five slots — weapon, armor, shield, and two accessories — plus two active skills from the demo's ten-skill pool. The planner displays combined stat totals, synergy indicators between equipped items, and comparison against boss benchmarks for the demo's six encounters.

Sixty equipment pieces and multiple build archetypes make in-game experimentation expensive — swapping loadouts mid-floor costs menu time, and wrong boss loadouts cost retreat cycles. The planner eliminates guesswork by showing whether your proposed State Burst configuration with Golden Triumph, Ashen Death, and Dream Anchor meets Demo Final Guardian stat checks before you commit exploration days to shard detours.

Assembling a loadout

Open the Build Planner and select items for each slot from dropdown menus organized by tier and region availability. Weapon slot options range from Rusty Sword through Ashen Death. Armor and shield slots include Leather Vest, Iron Buckler, and region-specific upgrades. Accessory slots accept Golden Triumph, Dream Anchor, Alchemist Ring, Research Lens, and other demo accessories.

Select two active skills from unlocked options — Strike, Guard, Alchemy Burst, Dream State, Token Forge, and others. Skills display compatibility warnings when selected without required equipment — Dream State notes Dream Anchor recommendation, Token Forge notes Ashen Death dependency. The planner pulls item effects from the Equipment Database and tier data from the Tier List.

Stat totals and boss benchmarks

The planner calculates effective ATK, DEF, and state synergy scores from your selected loadout. Boss benchmark bars show recommended minimums for each of the six demo bosses — Guardian of the Threshold through Demo Final Guardian. Green indicators mean your loadout meets benchmarks; yellow indicates marginal readiness; red warns of likely failure without additional research or potions.

State synergy scores activate when Golden Triumph, Dream Anchor, and Ashen Death are equipped together, displaying estimated state multiplier potential. These scores matter more than raw ATK in the Deep Sanctum where the planner weights state metrics higher than physical stat totals. Consult the Tokens & States Guide to interpret synergy output.

Template builds and customization

Load template builds from the Best Demo Builds page — Balanced Explorer, Alchemy Master, and State Burst — as starting points for customization. Templates pre-fill all slots and skills with recommended items. Modify individual slots to test hybrid approaches, like adding Research Lens to a Balanced Explorer base while keeping Guard skill equipped.

Mark items as owned or missing to track collection progress across your demo run. Missing items link to map locations in walkthroughs — Golden Triumph Shard detour for Golden Triumph, Deep Sanctum chest for Ashen Death. The planner helps prioritize which detours to take on your next exploration push based on items your target build still needs.

Saving and integrating with other tools

Save loadout configurations to browser local storage for reference during gameplay. Name saves by build archetype and region target — "State Burst Deep Sanctum" or "Alchemy Master Pre-Ruin Warden." Export screenshots for sharing with other players or Discord community discussion.

Feed planner output into the Route Calculator by setting equipped gear status for state clearing estimates, and into the Day Planner by noting which research tiers your build requires. The Equipment Guide and Skills Guide explain slot mechanics the planner displays numerically. Build planning before exploration pushes prevents the common mistake of reaching the Deep Sanctum with strong ATK research but no Golden Triumph equipped because the shard detour was never planned.

Compare two loadouts side by side when deciding between hybrid approaches — Balanced Explorer with Iron Buckler versus early State Burst with one accessory slot empty pending Golden Triumph. The benchmark comparison highlights which boss encounters each loadout fails and how many research tiers close the gap. Use this comparison after every major equipment find to decide whether to pivot builds or stay the course.
