Requiem of Reuinis Skills Guide
All ten demo skills explained for Requiem of Reuinis — Strike, Guard, Alchemy Burst, Dream State, Token Forge, unlock conditions, and build pairings.
Skills overview
Requiem of Reuinis includes ten skills in the playable demo, unlocked through the research tree and story progression. Skills appear on a dedicated panel separate from equipment and consume resources or materials when activated during combat or exploration. Unlike equipment, skills persist once unlocked — no respec cost, no slot limitation beyond the two active skills you equip at camp. Choosing which two skills to carry defines your combat approach alongside your five equipment slots.
Skills divide into physical (Strike), defensive (Guard), magic (Alchemy Burst), state (Dream State), and utility (Token Forge) categories. Basic skills unlock early in the Cave Entrance tutorial. Advanced state skills require research tiers reached in the Forgotten Ruins or equipment found in the Deep Sanctum. The full game launching July 15, 2026 expands to eighty skills — demo skills establish mechanics that carry forward.
Basic skills: Strike and Guard
Strike is the default single-target physical attack — C tier, always available, outclassed once Alchemy Burst or state skills unlock. Guard provides a temporary DEF boost for one turn, absorbing telegraphed boss attacks like the Guardian of the Threshold charge or Ashen Sentinel heavy slam. Guard remains relevant through the Demo Final Guardian even in State Burst builds because state damage does not replace defensive timing.
Balanced Explorer builds run Strike and Guard through the Forgotten Ruins. Replace Strike with Alchemy Burst or Dream State when those skills unlock and your build supports them. Guard stays equipped unless you stock enough DEF potions to substitute — potions cost alchemy days, Guard costs a skill slot. Most players keep Guard through all six bosses.
Alchemy Burst
Alchemy Burst (A tier) consumes crafting materials to deal area damage — the Alchemy Master build's primary combat skill. It bridges the power gap before state skills unlock, clearing trash encounters in the Forgotten Ruins efficiently when material stock supports repeated use. Each activation costs herbs or catalysts from inventory, tying combat directly to alchemy day investment.
Budget material stock before relying on Alchemy Burst for routing. Running out mid-floor forces fallback to Strike or retreat to camp. Pair with Alchemist Ring for improved alchemy output that indirectly feeds Burst ammunition. The Alchemy Guide documents material farming floors worth detouring for when running this skill.
Dream State and Token Forge
Dream State (S tier) puts Tasia in stationary turret mode, clearing adjacent enemy tiles without movement — the navigation efficiency skill for Deep Sanctum floors crowded with Corrupted Priests and Calamity Wisps. Requires Dream Anchor equipped to function at full efficiency. Each cleared tile still costs combat resolution but not movement days, dramatically reducing total exploration day count in region three.
Token Forge (S tier) previews derivative skill forms generated by Ashen Death before you commit combat turns. Derivatives vary based on combat choices — which enemies you target, which states are active, which token chains you maintain. Token Forge removes guesswork from state burst windows, making it essential alongside Golden Triumph and Ashen Death in endgame builds. Read the Tokens & States Guide for derivative mechanics in depth.
Skill selection by region and build
Cave Entrance: Strike and Guard — learn combat fundamentals without resource management pressure. Forgotten Ruins: Guard plus Alchemy Burst for Alchemy Master, or Guard plus Strike for Balanced Explorer until research unlocks advanced options. Deep Sanctum: Dream State and Token Forge for State Burst, or Guard plus Alchemy Burst for hybrid approaches.
The Best Demo Builds page pairs skills with equipment for each archetype. The Tier List ranks all ten demo skills. Use the Build Planner to verify your two active skills complement your five equipment slots before entering boss attempts. Skills and equipment synergize — Dream State without Dream Anchor underperforms, Token Forge without Ashen Death provides no derivatives to preview.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many skills can Tasia equip at once?
Two active skills, chosen at camp. All unlocked skills remain available for swapping.
When does Dream State unlock?
Through research tiers reached in the Forgotten Ruins, typically before Deep Sanctum entry.
Does Guard work during boss state suppression?
Yes. Guard is a DEF boost, not a state — Sanctum Keeper suppression does not disable it.
Can Alchemy Burst run out of materials mid-fight?
Yes. Each use consumes inventory materials. Stock herbs before floors where you rely on Burst.
How many skills are in the full game?
Eighty total at full release. The demo includes ten that establish core mechanics.
