Requiem of Reuinis How to Beat Bosses

Strategies for all six Requiem of Reuinis demo bosses — stat benchmarks, phase tips, potion loadouts, and retreat timing for every major encounter.

Boss combat fundamentals

Boss fights in Requiem of Reuinis are gear and preparation checks, not reflex tests. Every boss displays full stats before combat begins, and the community has documented minimum ATK, DEF, and HP thresholds for reliable clears. Arrive with healing potions crafted, research invested, and enough remaining exploration days to re-attempt if the first try fails.

The demo contains six bosses across three regions: one in the Cave Entrance, two in the Forgotten Ruins, and three in the Deep Sanctum. Each gate tests different build aspects — raw stats for early bosses, DEF mitigation for mid-demo, and state mechanics for the final encounters. Prepare specifically for each boss rather than using a one-size-fits-all loadout.

Guardian of the Threshold (Cave Entrance)

The first boss teaches basic preparation requirements. Guardian of the Threshold has moderate HP and ATK that exceeds unprepared Tasia's DEF by a dangerous margin. Minimum benchmarks: ATK +1 from research, DEF +1, and two healing potions in inventory. Equip the Rusty Sword and Leather Vest with the Alchemist Ring for crafting efficiency on earlier retreats.

Strategy: use Guard on the first two turns to survive the opening burst, then alternate Strike and healing potions. The Guardian does not regenerate or spawn adds — a straightforward DPS race once you survive the initial hits. If your HP drops below 30% without potions remaining, retreat and return after another research cycle rather than risking a death reset.

Ruin Warden and Ashen Sentinel (Forgotten Ruins)

The Ruin Warden tests DEF investment. With ATK around 55 and DEF at 20, it deals heavy damage to Tasia if your DEF research is below +2. Craft DEF elixirs before this fight and equip the Iron Buckler. Alternate Guard and Strike, using potions only when HP drops below 50%. Benchmark: ATK +2, DEF +2, three healing potions, one DEF elixir.

The Ashen Sentinel is the demo's first equipment gate — it drops Ashen Death, the token-generating weapon essential for state builds. This fight rewards aggressive ATK investment: ATK +3 recommended, two healing potions, and Alchemy Burst unlocked for burst phases. The Sentinel enters an enhanced DEF phase at 50% HP; save Alchemy Burst for that phase to punch through the damage reduction. Defeating it unlocks the path to the Deep Sanctum.

Sanctum Keeper (Deep Sanctum)

The Deep Sanctum bosses require state-based strategies or near-max research. The Sanctum Keeper has high DEF and passive regeneration that outpaces raw ATK damage from conventional builds. Equip Golden Triumph and maintain at least two unique states during the fight for the +50% damage bonus.

Recommended loadout: Golden Triumph, Dream Anchor, Ashen Death, with Dream State and Token Forge skills. Pre-buff with Guard before engaging. Trigger Ashen State on the opening kill if adds are present, or on the first successful Strike hit. Commit tokens to burst form for concentrated damage during regeneration cooldown windows. Bring three healing potions and one DEF elixir.

Calamity Echo and Demo Final Guardian

Calamity Echo spawns adds every three turns that must be cleared before damage transfers to the boss. Use token-derived area form to handle add waves efficiently. Dream State turret mode clears adjacent adds without spending movement actions. Save single-target burst for turns when no adds are active.

The Demo Final Guardian is the demo's culminating encounter, combining high DEF, regeneration, and multi-phase add spawns. Phase one: establish three states and build tokens. Phase two at 60% HP: switch to area form as adds spawn continuously. Phase three at 25% HP: commit all remaining tokens to burst form and use Alchemy Burst if available. Benchmark: full State Burst loadout, ATK +3 minimum, four healing potions. Expect two to three attempts even with optimal preparation — budget exploration days accordingly.

General boss preparation checklist

Before any boss attempt, verify: research benchmarks met for that boss tier, healing potions crafted to the recommended count, equipment equipped (not just in inventory), states pre-buffed if using Golden Triumph, and enough exploration days remaining for at least one re-attempt. Launch boss attempts at the start of an exploration push, not after a long floor-clearing run that depleted your day buffer.

After defeating all six bosses, your save is demo-complete and ready for transfer when the full game launches July 15, 2026. See the Save Transfer Guide for migration steps. For build optimization beyond boss minimums, consult the Best Demo Builds and Tokens & States Guide.

  • Check stat benchmarks against the boss preview screen before engaging
  • Craft recommended potions during the preceding camp phase
  • Equip boss-specific loadout — do not fight with exploration gear
  • Start boss attempts early in the exploration push with days to spare
  • Retreat and research rather than repeated deaths on under-prepped attempts

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum research level for the first boss?

ATK +1 and DEF +1 from the research tree, plus two healing potions. This is achievable after one full retreat cycle in the Cave Entrance.

Can I fight bosses out of order?

No. Bosses gate region progression sequentially. You must defeat the Guardian of the Threshold before accessing the Forgotten Ruins, and both Ruins bosses before the Deep Sanctum.

What happens if I die to a boss?

Tasia retreats to the region entrance with inventory and research intact. You lose remaining exploration days and must start a new push to re-attempt.

Do boss stats scale with my research level?

No. Boss stats are fixed. Research makes Tasia stronger relative to those fixed stats, which is why preparation matters more than player skill.

Which boss is the hardest in the demo?

The Demo Final Guardian in the Deep Sanctum. It requires state-based builds or near-max research and combines regeneration, high DEF, and add spawns across three phases.

How many healing potions should I bring to each boss?

Two for the Guardian of the Threshold, three for Ruin Warden and Ashen Sentinel, three to four for Deep Sanctum bosses including the Demo Final Guardian.
